    The same Emer Costello whose sister was appointed a judge by the current government. Grab It & Costello.

    She was selected as first substitute by the Labour Party in a democratic process, March 2009, and as such, her name democratically went before the people in the European election in June 2009.

    This is an interesting article to read considering Proinsias De Rossa has announced he's to resign and couldn't be bothered representing his Dublin Constituents.

    Of the 3 candidates elected
    1) One candidate Left the European parliament to become a national TD again
    2) the second abandoned his seat temporarily to run for president
    3) and the third has just abandoned his job half way through his Term.
