I have no interest in populism, I am only interesting in the Labour party surviving. The Labour party are been walked into destruction by individuals who have no loyalty to any political interests.

Somehow, I remember a similar debate during the 1973-1977 Government. People were queueing up to write the obituary of the ILP then as well. This time around there's even more desperation in the predictions.

Big difference in that they were been led by people who had more commitment to the Labour party.

Do all the Labour leadership [career socialists] care about the future of the Irish Labour Party?

They don't even care about the working class 4fs !!!
[ except as something to provide them with a meal ticket, in exchange for promises of other people's money ]
Dublin, Europe's most supportive tourist destination for Peados, thanks to no electronic passport swipe in Dublin Airport. Ireland always facilitates child molestors.

I doubt very much that Corish's catholicism made him think less of the working class or the future of his party.

By the way stalkerwallace, -i bet you were one of the cheerleaders who were writing FF off out of history this time last year. Do you really believe Labour are doing a better job - or are more likely to survive.

I personally think they will survive -but never again as the party we once knew. I'll repeat my own prediction for them again, they have about 6 months left to turn and do the right thing before they reach the point of no return like the greens before them.

Its so patently obvios to all that any party leadership that is prepared to sacrifice the future of its Party for pure selfish gain like the way they are doing it, must know themselves what kind of future awaits them.

Its the silence of the rank and file membership that baffles me.

Yes it is time for the membership to become move vociforous at the next ILP meeting. They cannont stand back and leave a right wing party dismantle The Labour party, with the help of so called Labour party leaders.

The likes of the Cruiser & the Elder Lemon certainly destroyed the possibility of majority Labour government & the 70s being socialist with their anti-left, anti-republican CDO.
