Spin Spin Spin - How will you pay for your plans Pat?

Pat Rabitte says he's going to introduce a €1,000,000,000 childcare program as a precondition to entering Government with Fine Gael.

What he doesnt say is how he's going to pay for it?

TAX increases or cuts in other programs....

What do his FG buddies think?

Where on earth did that figure come from.

Pat has said he will reform the tax subsidies that create very wealthy people in this country who pay little or no tax.

He at least had the balls to say it was going to be expensive, and he said that somtimes things that were worth investing in WERE expensive...and for once I agree with him.

But he also ruled out any income tax increases. Yes, tax reform and closing loopholes, but that won't pay for childcare and everything else.

If Labour's spending commitments are to be met, they need to be honest and tell the people it will mean increased taxation. Sinn Féin and the Greens have made their positions on this clear.

That's politics. I will bet €1,000,000,000 that if Pat ever gets into government that he will increase tax's and will offer some explanation why he has to do it and he will stress the point that he is not going back on what he said.
