I recently received a very nice letter from the DOJ

I recently received a very nice letter from the Department of Justice thanking me for my written submission to the Consultation Process on the upcoming Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill, which is now being drafted.

Apparently 120 persons and organisations made a written contribution to the consultation exercise that was held last year.

Further suggestions are welcome apparently so it’s not too late to have your say.

A dedicated e-mail address has been set up for this purpose at:

    Make your contribution count folks!

Can we take wild guesses about what your contribution said?

Or can we just get Aine Ni Chonnaill's submission, scribble out her name and put in yours in its place?

I imagine it went something along the lines of:

    Dear Department of Justice,

Here is a list of different immigrant groups, categorised according to race/ethnicity in declining order of popularity:

The Western Europeans + English speaking countries incl. White South Africa.

    The Chinese + Filipinos

    The Indian sub Continent

The East Europeans (not incl. The Roma!)

The Muslims from North Africa + ME

    The Black Africans

    Everybody else

    The Roma

    in that order.

Well thats my popularity list, which I think is one most people would share.

Please DO SOMETHING. I fear the blood-drenched race apocalypse may be inevitable. Although I always say I hope I'm wrong, I keep saying it over and over in such a way as to make any reasonable person question my sincerity on that point.

Also, stop giving money to black people.

    Love

    Catalpa
I only wonder whether it's written in green ink or crayon.

Unfortunately I have switched computers since I wrote in my contribution and can no longer give you the exact contents.

Also I venture to say that my ability to predict how immigration from eastern europe would pan out has proven to be if anything an underestimate of the huge numbers who have arrived here since May 2004.

A prediction BTW which you continually derided!

Your a BullS. Smiffy you know that and a concieted smart arse!

You look down your nose on Irish people who you obviously think are your inferiors.

No I didn't. I derided the methodology by which you extrapolated from a relatively short period in order to predict migration patterns over the next 20-50 years. Don't you remember?

You look down your nose on Irish people who you obviously think are your inferiors.
How would you know? Of course I look down on those I think are my inferiors (some of whom are Irish - you'd be one). I also look up to those who I consider my superiors in various respects. Again, some are Irish. What's your point?

What I don't do, however, is decide to look up or down on people based on whichever arbitrary ethnic category they happen to belong to. You know, by jumping to stupid conclusions about the sources of someone's income based on the fact that they might be black. Or, indeed, by drawing up lists like this one:

The Western Europeans + English speaking countries incl. White South Africa.

    The Chinese + Filipinos

    The Indian sub Continent

The East Europeans (not incl. The Roma!)

The Muslims from North Africa + ME

By the by, do you support FutureTaoiseach's policy that immigrants must learn fluent English upon entry to Ireland?

It is good to see someone getting politically involved like this, though.

    Thanks for the lead, Catalpa.

And ignore the yelpings of the Mass Immigration/Cheap Labour mob here.

You should preface the letter with "What follows is a cogent, well-informed analysis of the issues of the day, dealing with serious comment and rich background material, not the Leaving Cert stuff we see from some others..."

    It'd be great!

Can you tell us who you're referring to georgedillon, with some evidence to back up your claims?

I've simply repeated comments Catalpa has already made (including his famous list, which has absolutely nothing to do with Mass Immigration/Cheap Labour, capitalised or otherwise) back at him. If you take issue with that, feel free to make a case. But your constant whining about a strawman argument is starting to get as tiresome as your inane attempt to popularise the 'New Sinn Féin' label (here's a tip: it's not catching on, and makes you look like a bit of a nutter).

I think it would be a good idea don't you?

Given the amount of people clearly not prepared to use the English language in daily conversation is a growing phenomenon audible to anyone living in the GDA.

Either they can speak it but couldn’t be bothered or what IMO seems the more likley they have little or no English and find they can get along just fine without it.

Doesn't exactly do much for mutual understanding if large chunks of the population cannot communicate in the same language as the rest of us!
