You waited since March to post that useful contribution?

I hope (and believe) atheists ireland are responsible enough not to provide an excuse for islamic fundamentalists to go around killing the European infidel again.
Thanks very much, aggressivesecularist. I am not a troll and you know that. You are being totally alarmist about this whole thing, and I think you know that too. I am not in favour of criminalising blasphemy but there is nothing to suggest that the provisions in this bill will endanger the lives of Irish people either at home or abroad. Al Jazeera is as reputable as any of worlds news networks. Linking it with Islamic extremism and violence gives succour to those who have seen fit to target the news network (for example, the US attack in Baghdad which killed one of their reporters). I think Al Jazeera have more to concern themselves with than whether or not AI are going to engage in some schoolboy prank to break the blasphemy laws in Ireland.

Please do not call me a troll and please don't let your imagination run wild. You are supposed to be a hard-headed atheist after all.
