More state interference at the behest of the feminist movement, now if a woman can't get a man to commit she'll get the state to take what's "rightfully her's" anyway, what a scummy country for the male of the species.

So if a man cruelly oppresses a woman by forcing her to sit at home and watch Oprah while he has the great opportunity to work 70-hour weeks, and if he has the temerity not to sign over half his property to her in a church, then the state will step in and give her everything anyway?
Isn't this something that the couple in question can sort out by contract prior to setting up home together??? Co-ownership or Joint Tenancy?? Why is the State always stepping in to save people who aren't able to think for themselves?
There should be an annual national kick your mot out date organised, observed by all men who have no wish to be dictated to by the feminist movement. The anniversary of the passing of this bill would be the perfect date, this will soon sort these interfering wasters.

Maybe somebody knows - with marriage, not sure how much legal standing pre-nup aggreements have.
Also, generally with pre-nups and the like, while it probably would not threaten the relationship if the female partner brought it up if they have more assets, I think it would not be easy for a man to bring it up if he has more assets.

If you or anybody else is interested in reading more about masculism, follow the wiki link in my signature.
Also there are lots of other threads around p.ie that masculists could contribute to e.g.
87% of TDs are male - does it mean necessarily the Dail is biased in favour of men

Just like in feminism, in masculism, not everyone agrees.
I saw that there is a women-only social group on politics.ie (the Powder room or something like that). I was thinking of maybe setting up a men-only group - or actually hoping somebody else would set it up. I'd be interested in seeing the reaction if nothing else.

For more information see this solictors account of the bill (end of page, under the heading of cohabitation agreement, but remember the provision most objectionable is where there is cohabitation and no agreement)
Civil Partnership Bill - Malcomson Law Solicitors
Here are the concerns of Treoir, a body for unmarried couples and their children. But have a look at what they want.
http://www.treoir.ie/pdfs/Civil_Part_Sub.pdfCombining draft proposals for Civil Partnerships and
Cohabitants within the same bill
It is regrettable that proposals for Civil Partnership and Cohabitant
Agreements are both dealt with in the same Bill. Already confusion is
arising about the impact of the provisions on the two groups.
Treoir recommends that there should be two Bills one for Civil
Partnership and one for Cohabitants.
