After two years Tara Campaigners have their day in court.

I was going to call this 'Operation Keystone Cops', the cases against campaigners who have been carrying
round bail conditions for two years in their academic and ordinary lives have had cases dismissed.

Details are sketchy as to the why; but the Save Tara List is indicating that there were problems with data
    and evidence from Operation Bedrock.

    savetara : Sabhail Teamhair

There will be a statement from the Group :

Save the Tara/Skryne(Gabhra) Valley from the destruction posed by the proposed construction of the M3 Motorway.

Solicitor Michael Finucane defended at Trim court this past Monday, as one by one cases were dismissed.
It was at the very least the sixth or seventh time that the defendants were before the courts,
with mostly the arrests happening on one particular day in July 2007.

They waited two years to have the charges brought against them in Irish courts, there appears to
be a problem with the data (video and photographic that the Gardai were using as evidence). I attended
up to four of these cases btw- thus congrats to those whose lives have been upturned in trying to body
out the Official history of how the Gabhra Valley was bisected by an FF/PD government.

How does one find out about the expendidture /budget for Gardai Ops such as Operation Bedrock btw?
    - cos these people were facing criminal charges on the basis of evidence gathered at the sites.

In one case a woman was arrested whilst delivering a letter from the EU which had been forwarded by Kathy Sinnott btw.

John Gormley had not even the guts to go onto the sites when he took his ministerial stroll to where Dick
Roche had given permission for the destruction of Tara. The paper trail is becoming quite voluminous at
    this point.

its difficult, if it had gone to trial you might have found out interesting things about the gardai and private security but no trial... less scrutiny on the police actions, look at edo in the uk for all the lessons

    not good enough.

I got a call the day they were arrested about brutality, now thousands have been spent criminalising
people who were delivering letters from the EU about directive breaches and querying the work up at
    Lismullin-

FF have too long buried bad news on breaches and fines beneath the criminalisation of conscientous
objectors. I am unsurprised that the IT did not cover, they casually ignored Seamus Heaney's
    protest at the Hill too.

Indeed the Times had the temerity to suggest that Mr Heaney was celebrating
heritage week in their reports, when he was in fact protesting destruction and
supporting his nephew who is a Tara Campaigner.

Road progressing ahead of schedule, will be opening soon.
Great anticipation in Kells to the opening of the M3 & N52 bypasses of the town. Up to 30,000 vehicles a day taken out of the town, returning the heritage sites in Kells back to the community.

Well go and thank Dick Roche for that, he knows where to get the vote.

and indeed how to bring his low level intelligence into the Dáil to secure that vote, unfortunately he
has no conception of the role of Government in Heritage preservation.
