Actually so were the Progressive Democrats, weren't they recently in Government, just say I believe it when I see the president sign the bill into law, and from know some of the FG views personally I do not see them making it a priority of it at all.

Well, the Minister for Justice is busy drafting legislation against blasphemy and it was the only thing the greens managed to get into the programme for government - so, yes, that'll be a cold day in hell, then, when next we hear of it...

I also know some of the FG views personally. FG's commitment on the issue was confirmed by the party's front bench, parliamentary party, manifesto and two votes in the last Seanad and Dáil and one in the current Dáil.

White Horse, would you mind unpacking that statement for us a little, please.

    Quite.

Two children are born, one's parents are rich and give him access to the best education and healthcare possible. Another child is born to poor uneducated unemployed people, and received mediocre education and third world healthcare. Equal?

Another situation, one child is aborted by her mother while another is born and lives a long life. Equal?

Equality doesn't exist. However, that is not to say inequality is a virtue. Quite the opposite.

Thank you for the answer. I agree that inequalities exist. Should we not strive to correct them, or else reduce the extent of the inequality, where we find them?

Just because Dermot Ahern endorses the view of homosexuality being a departure from normality doesn't mean he's deliberately choosing to bury it. Anyway I believe he's been busy lately bringing important legislation into line with the constitution...

Yea, I believe that the department of finance has probably put a hold on this one. "We cannot afford it right now...blah blah blah"
