Stand your ground, aggressive! You won't get your 26/32-county Irish Secular Republic by running away from debate!

Blue laws??? You won't win round the aul catholic moralists with that kind of language!!

Ok, I've looked it up. I had genuinely never heard of the term "blue laws". You atheists know us Jesus-freaks better than we know ourselves!!

I was in Maynooth, as a seminarian, when Dermot Morgan passed away. His death was announced at breakfast in the Refectorium. It was greeted by a large number of those present with cheers and muttering about God's judgement.

Most of those who cheered ended up ordained. Most of those who didn't cheer were not.

It was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. Sad really.

Hey, blue laws are fun. Like the one in Boston, USA, where it is required for a man to carry a musket with him to church on a Sunday.

If the criticism is warranted and true, then it is legitimate. Insensitive or politically questionable maybe. But if it is true than it's true regardless of the source.
