If not, congratulations. Are you a humanist-atheist / atheist-humanist (which comes first, chicken or egg??)? Or rather a non-humanist atheist / atheist non-humanist? Or none of the above?? Did you feel represented by him is what I'm trying to say? (Or is 'representation' a nasty organised religion throwback-concept?)

Gentle, Irish mocking. I know you're a fan

I'll catch it when it comes online tomorrow (I hope).
The stingy fenian ... (can't curse - too much Catholic repression in my youth, you understand).

I'm not a humanist, I'm just glad they're willing to bring one on now and then. Hopefully they'll do it again when it's relevant. Atheism is a minority but it's significant enough to deserve to be represented when relevant issues arise.

Agree here and to be honest I got the feeling that Dick was not being paid attention to a lot of the time...........

Who are you lebowskilite? Aggro-secularist's Mum?

I had a perfectly good position until you showed up, late in the day I might add, with your fancy logic and all. I'm a northern Catholic, I'm a victim, NI equality laws exempt me from having to bow before your superior reasoning.

It was going nowhere from the off, it was just a place for some hateful individuals to spew out their venom for the last time. We welcome in an era of civility, politeness and respect once the bill is amended. Well done Mr Ahern.

No, to be honest cuddly atheists/humanists work wonders for public perception, angry internet atheists ...not so much. I didn't watch long enough to get an overall impression, but he didn't do poorly from what I saw.
