In an announcement just made, the Supreme Court of Iowa upheld a challenge against Polk County Iowa. Iowa is now the fourth US state to allow gay marriage:

Iowa? Wouldn't have guessed that one to be number four.

Dunno about perversion, but I would have assumed gay marriage was part of any homosexual agenda?
(Although in my anecdotal experience, gay friends seem to be largely apathetic on the matter, most of them preferring to be treated equally in law rather than getting hung up on the term 'marriage'.)

I agree with you that getting bogged down in semantics does detract from the equality argument.

It is massively opposed by the people of Iowa. 62% oppose Affirmative marriage, 28% support it.
