On the marion Finucane show yesterday, Marion asked her why she did not take the child's death certificate with her when she left. She just fudged and said she was confused, upset did not know where she was going. She left Nigeria several years after the 'death' of her child. if it had happened, she would have had a death certificate from that time. Given that she was leaving Nigeria for a 'safe' place and claiming asylum on the grounds of FGM that death certificate was the basic document she required to back up her claim. How could she not have brought it with her?

But what also bothers me is that given this is a well off educated family, why did husband Tony and herself not just say F..Off to the dreadful in laws and depart as a family to another part of the African continent and start a business?
