Thats ridiculous, you don't live in a country that ritually drives buses over you to fulfill some barbaric custom.
FGM is a very real acknowledged activity in Nigeria and young girls are violated to the tune of 25-40% (How many people are run over by buses in Ireland?) It is done at the whim of cultural misogyny not by chance.
Voters don't decide issues, they decide who will decide issues.

This entire “asylum” nonsense is gone beyond a joke. It’s about time we stopped this at source. Turn them back at the airports and sea ports and check the busses and trains coming down from the North.
hopi whatever evidence the woman originally had wasnt very convincing, her claim was rejected.
And you ahve not offered any sign of this evidence you are prattling on about, instead of doing so, you are saying there must be evidence cos there is a court case, well no, the case is a judicial review, fought on a point of law, not a point of fact, the court case is to rpove the law in general is flawed or was not applied correctly already, evidence from her specific case is not required. And the evidence she has has been rejecetd at every turn, but then Im starting to think you dont know anything about the 'considerable evidence' you prattled on about and are jsuta ssuming their must be evidence.
[QUOTE=sandar;1525591]what evidence is there? eh state have looked at the evidence and rejected it QUOTE]
You keep making these contradictory statements, Implying that there is no evidence and then telling us the evidence was rejected. You continue to evade the fundemental question and that is , would it be right for the State to deport while there remained a doubt that in that eventualty, this family might come to harm?
I have not evaded that. I said many posts ago, if there is evidence that this woman or her cghildren could come to harm, then they should not be deported. I have said that more than once. You are claimintg there is 'considerable evidence' not me. What I am satying is that
Again dodging the question... am I racist for wanting to see due process of the law?
All asylum seekers are human beings. The state deports those who are in it's view, not in danger as there is no basis for asylum in their applications. Is the state monstrous for having deported other failed asylum seekers?
Oh yes it would I assure you.Originally Posted by hopi watcher
