FT you have left out the point you make 99.9% of the time and that is if we endorse Lisbon the charter of fundamental rights will provide a prima facie case for appealing deportations to the ECJ. While the ECJ might ultimately turn down the appeal the case would take years to be processed meaning years of financial burden and also providing a basis for the "asylum seeker" arguing they are knitted into the community.

Colm O'Gorman was on Matt Cooper and he was trying to distance Amnesty International as far away from this case as possible.

Family Guy, do you think stalkers should be deported? Do you know anyone who is currently stalking someone else, making threats and lewd suggestions?

Yes but remember in common law a case can be distinguished and set aside so that precedent can't be sued in this case.

No - I strongly disagree with Cawley.

I emailed Cawley and like you got no reply.

I use the Labour avatar as I understand that I need to email a personal avatar to a mod if I want one.

And imo Labour are the best of a bad lot.

But I am not a member, just a (with reservations) supporter.
    Thanks for that response.

In the latter case I suppose some means to tell them apart from bogus asylum seekers is needed, something more efficient than what exists now. Perhaps it would be an idea to put such a system in place before dealing with them, and order a retrospective review on all claims of asylum granted under the current shambles. It might also be an idea to gain a commitment from these genuine asylum seekers that they return when whatever situation supposedly drove them here is judged past. It would also be an idea to present a bill to the government of wherever they came from for all the costs incurred.
Apart from the highlighted word your post is spot on. No suppose about it. There has to be such a system in place to allow genuine asylum seekers to get the help they need.

Why? There's already more than enough stupidity to go around--your contribution, while significant, will scarcely add to the dungheap.

If you can't post nice, HH, you won't be allowed to post at all. You don't want to be banned again, do you?
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.
