well then im sure youd have no real problem if your wife , sister ,mother or daughters ended up in a womens prison and wouldnt be worried about what happened them or what they might experience being under captivity or how a period of captivity in an Irish womens prison might affect them . It only being a dochas centre /holiday camp afterall .

people like you could do with a dose of involuntary captivity first and then reflect on whether its a deterrent or not .

You said their friends are Irish, I'm saying you made baseless assumptions, they could have been Nigerian for all you or I know. Not a very important point though I would agree.

I think most children have fathers but I could be wrong about that. Otherwise I don't see the point you're making.
You don't see my point that they have been kept from their father? really?

Again, what's the relevance? Should we deport every child whose family has money?
No but it is an important issue, they have the means to protect their children from the supposed threats and they are not going back to the type of lifestyle a lot of the posters here are assuming. They have a middle class house and a maid ffs, how many posters here have the same?

Irish people moving abroad? I doubt that would ever happen...or has ever happened. What's your point?
I really don't know what point you're making here, apart from maybe being sarcastic.

You are becoming increasingly more absurd. What is "involuntary captivity"? I believe criminals whether they are related to me or not, should be jailed if their crimes warrant it, and I believe the conditions under which they are held should be a deterrent to them lightly risking a return by re-offending.

I believe PI should be deported instead of jailed. I am not interested in punishment for punishment's sake, but as a deterrent. Sending PI to the Dochas Centre will deter no one.

We can't afford to investigate every asylum-claim for years and years and then let them stay on the grounds that they have children living here with them. Yet that is the logical conclusion if we go down the road advocated by the liberals in Leinster House or Diarmuid Doyle in the Tribune asking that we investigate her claims further and let her stay. Most nonsensical was DD's claim that 99% of Nigerian claims were rejected and she therefore would not constitute a precedent if granted leave to remain. He conveniently forgets that only 25% of deportation-orders result in deportation, because of both evasion and legal-challenges. I didn't hear Marian Finucane this morning but if Lucinda Creighton is supporting this bogus asylum-seeker, I would warn FG that that is not the way to get votes in a GE. Even if there were dangers in the countries of origin, it wouldn't justify leapfrogging from one EU state to another, which PI has done. She admits coming here via Amsterdam.

Pamela Izevbekhai, subsidiary protection, sligo, family, Nigeria, judge, ireland, dublin, help is just one organisation but I'm weary now. I knew from years ago that there's no real point in discussing issues of race with people who have their minds already made up.

Regarding the father point. Do you have children? I thought not. One would move heaven and earth to be with those kids but their father hasn't.

My final word on this topic tonight is this: I don't really care if Pamela lied. Your mother would lie to make a better life for you. If she didn't we'd be calling her a useless Ma. Notwithstanding the fact that we don't know if Pamela actually lied (personally I think she did) I would have no respect for her as a mother if she didn't do her best to protect her children.

If those children were white-skinned this argument would be totally different. That really is end of story.

Your argument, if taken to its logical-conclusion, would amount to motherhood becoming grounds for asylum, theoretically allowing most of the women in the Third World or Nigeria to come to Ireland and claim asylum. Whether she lied or not does matter, if we are to avoid the unsustainable pressures on our infrastructure, labour market and public-services that would result if we didn't have restrictions on acceptable grounds for applying for asylum. We can't be dogooders on this matter. The country has neither infinite resources to cater for all who come here, nor the moral responsibility for former colonies that belongs rightfully to the former colonial powers.

And I assure you - colour is not the issue. I was equally irritated before Romania joined the EU when Romanians - who are primarily White - were also abusing the system, second only to Nigerians in terms of the most represented nationality in terms of asylum-applications.

Ha ha ha, what a total and utter cop out.

Typical pc fascist, would rather label me as a racist than address the issues you asked me to address.

Well good night now, you can sleep in your self pc satisfaction.

It's strange that you assume I think you're a racist. It never crossed my mind about you until you mentioned it.
