Although I do not think the Ambassador came across very well overall she did accurately state when confronted with the 'documents' that she thought that they may be forgeries so she has form in calling it correctly.
Is it fair to say that the oversized "DG" letters on her glasses (for those who didn't see the programme, I'm not making this up) gave us an impression of the kind of person who gets to be Nigeria's Ambassador to Ireland.

(Here's a picture of those self same glasses. I was certainly impressed.)

That said, the real story here is the unwillingness of supposedly responsible commentators to own up to being taken in by this case. Its almost unbelieveable that they are still trying to brazen this out on her behalf - but, then again, they're just joining the queue of people who aren't to blame for the economic crisis.

However, banks know they have a duty of care to their clients and I'm sure that this should prevent them lending irresponsibly.

I am absolutely certain that the colour of this woman's skin has inflamed the worst attributes of those who are pig ignorant in Irish society. (Apologies to pigs).

In order for us, as a society, to resolve this issue we need to be honest. The simpletons who inexplicably hate others because they were born closer to the Equator than us needs to be addressed.

Regardless of all those issues I hope that Pamela I and her children are allowed stay in Ireland.
You may hope that, but pigs will fly before there is any chance of Ms Izevbekhai getting leave to remain in Ireland. Her case was based on forged documents, she is doomed to fail. PS: Sorry but I had to bring the pigs into it.

    Yes.

Except the pig ignorant in this case are being shown to be the duped supporters who cannot accept that the facts require them to re-evaluate their self-image. They ain't the brave crusaders they thought they were. They're just rather silly people who don't know much about stuff they liked to spout about.

The extent to which they'd rather preserve their self image rather than allow it to be bruised by reality is breathtaking. Here's an example what I mean.

It is of course a possibility.

That appalling vista would involve a carte blanche for potentially every African family with a daughter to arrive here claiming asylum on FGM grounds. Obvious really, except for those harbouring grotesque left-wing views.

p.s. Should you be unable to summon up a worthy (and non-abusive) riposte there is always neg rep, as of course you know.
I certainly don't harbour any 'wing' views. The concept might be strange to embittered lap-dogs such as yourself but I make my own mind up on issues. You see, I have no problem with people of any race or colour or ethnicity coming here to live. In fact, I am so secure in my Irishness that I welcome immigrants. They don't scare me like they scare ignorant hate-mongers. When foreigners of any race bleed, they bleed red blood. When their children die they weep like my mother did when her children died. When they are happy, guess what...they smile. We are all the same except for one issue which seems to obsess those with no brains - their skin colour is different. Shame on those people who think skin colour matters.

Your assumption that I'd be abusive to a dot in life such as you serves merely to highlight how you and your ilk wallow in self-importance, paranoia and fear. The boogeyman will get you. Grow up and grow a pair. ( I'll try red-repping you but I think I may have already used it up on simple-minded, brain-dead morons unlike you).

I wonder if we would have heard of the case at all. Would RAR and others who supported the Izevbekhai family be as quick to rush to the aid of a Caucasian family? Would the media have devoted the same amount of press coverage? Would the family have been able to find lawyers willing to work for them, pro bono, for years?

I don't think you're bright enough to see the point I was making so I'll let you get on with it. Oh, and best of luck.

Supporters of the Ms Izevbekhai can't take it as they know the game is up.

Very relevant to the Pamela I case. Personalising issues is one of the last refuges of those defeated. Maybe you and Pamela are just the same. You both maybe tell lies to enhance your cause, you both pass the buck, you both avoid the issues with in her case excellent obfuscation, shoddy in yours naturally cos you ain't the brightest bunny in the hutch.

That all said, what do you think of the wee black children whose friends are all Irish and who are totally oblivious to any potential wrong-doing on their mother's part. They want to stay and are totally innocent of any alleged spoofery. What should we do with them? You have all the answers.
