If we let one liar stay we are inviting all the liars to have a go and we would be fools to do that.
We make an exception. Exceptions are made all the time. We can draw a line under past misdeeds and abuse of the system where kids are involved and put a quick and inefficient system in place for the future. The Good Friday Agreement was signed and we had much talk of "let bygones be bygones" and "lets move on". For some reason some can't apply that same sense of mercy and charity to kids because they want rules to be adhered to..to the letter. The government won't be asked to cave in if there a clear, transparent and logical system. Governments get asked to cave in when they faff around and allow families to stay in limbo and allow endless appeals which drag on and one.

No. You might well do what thousands of irish have done the world over. Got in on a visa and worked illegally.

It won't. There are well over 100 million Nigerians and many many millions in other countries dying to come here. Literally in some cases. Someone gets kicked out, big deal. It won't even make the local paper where ever she is from.

Well done Pamela for being a liar and asylum cheat.
Well done all those who were gullible enough to believe her. +1!
Well done all those who offer Pamela the consolation prize of letting her and her children stay here because 'aw sure they're settled now'.

My children are truly settled here. They truly belong here. My children should not have to compete for the resources and opportunities of their land with bogus asylum seekers, citizenship shoppers, and various other blow ins with no connection to this land. Reverse racism does nothing for Ireland, or Irish people, it just makes us a laughing stock.

Pamela must still be laughing at how she played the system.

That's the point and as you say they would lie cheat and steal to get here if we show that's what works.

I have 3 kids all under 8. I would lie cheat, steal if I was desperate enough to help them, as would any parent. By all means punish the parent but punishing the kids as well is simply wrong.
I realise that and I do feel sympathy for them. However, if we don't deport we get a reputation for being a soft touch. I worked in the system at the height of the IBC episode. The word most certainly was abroad in Nigeria that all you had to do was have a child and you were sorted. I could not begin to tell you the amount of aslyum claims that were dropped the minute a baby was born. It was, I have to say, disgraceful. The huge drop in claims when the loophole was closed was insightful.

    To be fair, I have posted on here a lot, usually arguing against the kind of redneck comment that immigration engenders and trying to argue for due process. However, if this accusation proves to be true, she should be punished;

    1. For the lies and expense caused.
    2. For the damage she will do to every genuine asylum seeker, particularly those who might actually fear FGM.
    3. To uphold the integrity of the asylum system. You cannot come, tell a load of lies, and then get to stay because you brought your kids with you.

NO you should not reward people, but against that we have punishing two children who are absolutaly innocent. If the only way to achieve justice for one adult is to punish two children then we have to way the costs to those innocents.

We elect govts to prevent this sort of situation through legislation, they need to learn from this and bring in proceedurs for speeding up the process, making it fair and transparent and stopping people from abusing the apeals process. We allso need to challange those who encourage such abuse.
But we must not punish two kids who will be utterly lost outside of the country and culture they call home.

Not quite the same as getting all the State benefits granted to people like ms Izvb. together with the court costs of her appeal to stay.

Illegal workers keep their head down, to wit... US illegals. Not this lady though

Ive no doubt she will be laughing if allowed to stay, But this is why we must be the bigger better people and not take out our natural distaste and anger on her children.

As for your middle part of your post, You apear to not whant any one from anywhere to come in to Ireland, Is that the case? what if your children want to work abroad in the future? should they be allowed?

I agree with you. But it should be decided in a specific time frame and then done and dusted. The failed applicant should be sent home. The problem in this case is we are talking years. She lied but the system f****** up but it will be her kids who are damaged. Keep her here and get her to work for the state cleaning public toilets for two years to work off the cost of her expensive appeals.
