We didn't get social-welfare, free accommodation or free healthcare or education back then - all things that asylum-seekers are getting. And we had to undergo compulsory health-screening - something the bleeding-hearts called "racist" when a FG candidate proposed it before the last GE. Bear that in mind before you make more false comparisons.

Many of the early Irish emigrants went to New Orleans where they did the most dangerous and stressful work.

These Irish died like flies from diseases like yellow fever.

Its movie for god sake, i like camron diaz btw.

on general comment [nothing do with Futuresomething]

133 pages so far on single issue in short span of time, i am sure there is no such replies, passionate in terms of over all economy(are dumb understand economy and recession overall i guess), since we are in recession. This really shows few minority of the peoples interest one family. There is no major discussion on Mr. Sean Fitz who flashed two fingers legistlators or banks who lured entire generation of people in this land into Mortgage slaves or golden circle. They are all brushed underthe carpet by Irish media i guess.

Yes there is no doubt people are abused system not all Asylum seekers on saints or all abused system. there is good and bad. example: Irish born child getting citizenship then referendum is set the law right and tight.

TBH i dont have opinion on this issue, because i never have working experience with Asylum seekers or i dont have any friends, given Ruport Murdoch's sort media cant trust media either.

One says the doctor was in Drive time show few years back endorsed certificate now he denies when sunday times try to interview him, he asked 5000 euros. (that clearly shows he will do any thing for money??) Nigerian ambassdor in ireland denied FGM practice but UN says it exists. (??)

But as far as i know GNIB is does its job 100% with in their law and legislation.

The government have not minced their words in correspondence to the ECHR and have let be known to them in no uncertain terms that they will affect their deportation at the end of Supreme Court process.

I hope they do - they cannot afford not to at this stage

    - they would make a complete laughing stock of the whole Courts system if she were allowed to get away with what she has done.

And certain countries which are not undergoing a state of war, famine or persecution, but are merely sh[I]tholes; like Nigeria, should have it's citizens excluded from asylum consideration.

What is the total number of applications we have had over the past fifteen years or so ? How many were granted ? How many of those who were refused have remained ? All benefit payments are maintained even after the applicant has been directed by the State to leave (by letter !!!??!!!)
At least a third of all children who have started school here over the last five years or so are the children of asylum seekers. And ask any of their teachers - the Nigerian ones usually go home for a month every year during term time for a holiday. Big feckin' threat, alright.
The only sympathy I have with(Nigerian) children is that they, through no fault of their own, have been born to such despicable scammer-parents.
But as for any upheaval they may experience when deported; they'll get over it. Their parents didn't mind bringing their older Nigerian-born children over to Ireland to begin with.
You are more than welcome to contribute to the debate, but it would preferable if you engaged your brain prior to so doing! Assertion is no replacement for researched argument.

Its good to see that preparations are being made for her deportation, I knew there would be no chance of leave to remain.

Dont be so sure. The "let them stay" brigade are only getting into their stride. Check out the full-page article from an Antonia Leslie in today's Sindo..........if you can bear it.
It starts as follows: " As I write this my heart feels drained. My stomach is in a knot and I can't eat."
