I would imagine there has been some judicious editing since the latest revelations.

Kinda odd don't you think that a senior legal eagle would take on a case that was clearly fraudulent and represent the claiment in the Courts of the land for gratis?

and he did all this for not a red cent in return?

I wonder what would happen if I approached him with some cock & bull sob story based on 'documents' drawn from one of the most corrupt States on Earth

    - would he devote his valuable time to representing me in Court in a case that cost the Irish State a Million lids?

I'd be told feck off fast and stop wasting his time...

Expect another Oscar-winning performance. Maybe Hollywood will want her.

Nora Casey owns a number of (mainly) womens magazines including Womans Way.

Maybe Pamela is giving her an exclusive interview?

Thanks - anyway I'll keep me eye on her from now on....

Actually here's a Link on her background:

An International Capitalist - of course she would favour Mass Immigration.

Not in the slightest bit odd catalpa. Do you think lawyers go about asking their clients if they are lying? That is a matter for the courts to decide. It is only in the case of obvious falsehood, which her legal team only became aware of last weekend, that they would seek to come off record. It is not your legal representatives business to determine whether you have a winnable case, a cock and bull story, a great story, or an average story, only to represent you to the best of his or her abilities.

If, on the other hand, they tell you they are guilty or something comes to your attention that indicates that they misled you, then you would have an obligation to refuse to plead innocent on their behalf, in the first instance, and to come off record in the second.

I don't see your issue with this at all. A lawyer is not judge and jury, merely a legal advisor and advocate.

Heard some of the program, one of the contributors Nora Casey I think "joked" that she should stay because she is about the only one who wants to stay in Ireland now. That and the repeated use of the silly term "new Irish" made me change stations. You might as well have a panel of national school children on discussing the case. (no insult intended to N.S. kids)
For what it is worth I think she should be allowed stay, only for the children's sake, and not because of the spurious threat of FGM, but because they, the children have become accustomed to Sligo. She, the mother, should of course be charged with taking the piss or whatever they want to call it.
The primary fault lies with the Irish legal system for not susing chancers like her out quicker and sending them home.
By the way, Nigerians are viewed with the utmost of suspicion by fellow Africans. This may be because of their " culture of entitlement" as one African nun put it to me, or because they must be chances to survive in Nigeria. One way or the other as another African said to me if you gave most Nigerians a pencil and ruler they could not draw a straight line, every thing must be crooked with them.
To balance the above I would say that if a Nigerian person gets religion they really get religion and those people you could trust with your life. The trouble is separating the genuine from the spurious people.

Good Post I heard Casey say that too - what a *&^%!

On the case itself there is no way she should be allowed to stay here as to do so sends out a clear signal that its OK to lie to the Courts and nothing will happen to you.

I don't think the Government can afford to let her stay now as to do so would mean the collapse of any credibility in our Legal System

    - not just in immigration cases but across the board.

Yes of course there are plenty of good folks from Nigeria too as I can personaly attest.

I hate the way bogus asylum-seekers use their children as pawns in a cynical game to obtain leave-to-remain by fraud. Particularly scurrilous is the conjuring of fictional threats the children will face if returned home. I feel sorry for the children that they are being used in this way not only by their mother, but also by ginger-groups that want to use this family to push an agenda in terms of open-borders and mass-amnesty. It reminds me of Soviet Russia where children were forced to take part in political-demonstrations.
