'Considerable' Special Branch activity at Anti-Israel rally

Just spoken to a friend in the Gardai who was involved in policing the anti-Israel rally today. Interestingly, he told me there was "considerable" Garda Special Branch activity at the march (including spotters, photographers and officers mingling with the demonstrators). Evidently, the presence of a number of dangerous individuals, including Islaimist extremists, is, thankfully, arousing the interests of the Special Branch.

He wasn't sure if G2 (army intellignece) were on duty today. But, as we know from past reports, they are constantly monitoring Isliamist radicals and other extremists who threaten the security of the State.

It is a pity they were not monitoring the board of the Anglo-Irish bank for the last couple of years, if their role is to ensure the security of the state and come down hard on those who threaten it.

Some bogger with a navy hoodie was standing right beside me today. They always stand at 7 o'clock or 5 o'clock. If you turn around and ask them a question, they turn their eyes away and pretend they didn't hear you. Stick out like sore thumbs. They think they're in CSI Miami.

eh not really their job to do that. I am very glad they are keeping an eye on those Islamic extremists. Hopefully, they are here on temporary visas and can be whisked out of the country.

I know. Just the cynic in me. A case could be made, however, that the behaviour of the kleptos on the board of that bank posed, in the light of us bailing out their sorry asses, a threat to the security of the states finances.

Good to see they are doing what they should be, in any case.
