British IND To Halt Work Permit To Foriegn Student

The British home office minister has just made an announcement to halt work permit to foreign student coming to the U.k to study in that case scenario they have to demonstrate a real source of fund to their education without a recourse to public fund or black market jobs, However the minister also role out what we call an I.D card scheme for all immigrant and any immigrant found without those cards will be subjected to detention or summary deportations, i think the department of justice should introduce such a measure aswell in ireland, any take ?
