Black-on-White Crime: the Newsom/Christians case

This is a shocking case that occurred in 2006/2007 and is belatedly gathering attention, thanks to the persistence of bloggers and interested persons (unfortunately, including white supremacists). This has to be one of the most truly awful crimes I have come across lately.

Although Eve Carson clearly had some interaction with her killer before her death, and was alive long enough to be forced to reveal her ATM card PIN number, let us hope that neither she nor Lauren Burke suffered the terrible deaths which Channon and Christopher did. Accounts differ as to the degree of the brutality, and whether both suffered sexual mutilation at the hands of their five African American killers, however, the details which are confirmed reveal a horror which no innocent young couple should ever have to suffer.

Christopher was repeatedly raped, in front of Channon, by the four male members of the gang, before being shot and his body set on fire, we can only pray that, unlike our own tragic Kriss Donald, Chris Newson was dead before the flames engulfed his young body.

Channon was kept alive longer than Christopher, being used as a sex slave for four days during which she was repeatedly beaten, sodomised and raped before being forced to drink bleach, after which she was murdered and her body dumped in the garbage.

As I said, the murder of Channon and Christopher are well known across the internet, however, elsewhere, it has only so far been reported in the local Knoxville press. Compare that to the vicious murder of James Byrd Jnr htt. at the hands of three drunken white men. As with Stephen Lawrence in Britain, Byrd's murder became a cause célèbre in America, a hate crime which to this day, ten years later, is repeatedly referred to in the press, on both sides of the Atlantic. Whereas details of the Christian Newsom murder is suppressed, and when it is mentioned said to be motivated by theft rather than hate.

There is a reason for this, for the US media the Byrd case, and the recent case of Megan Williams, allegedly kidnapped, tortured and raped, although not killed, by her hillbilly boyfriend, his mother and some trailer trash neighbours, are the equivalent of an alien space ship crashing into Manhattan, it only has to happen once in order to prove all the alien abduction claims true. The same would have happened with the infamous Duke Lacrosse case if it had not turned out to be a huge hoax. (The US media continues to seek that one single elusive white on black gang rape, which will become the case of record forever used to support the pretence that most most interracial sexual violence is perpetrated by whites, they haven't found it yet, but they keep hoping.)

The authorities stubbornly insist that what occurred was not a 'hate crime' -the Christian family (the girl) agree whilst the Newsom family, disagree -several false allegations of mutilation surfaced on the internet with charges of cover-up and this whole case has become a political football with both white supremacists and black activists supporting the opposing viewpoints (black community vigils have occurred to the defendants and two of them face the death penalty). The authorities claim that what occurred was a simple random act of violence.

This is unfortunate, as I personally think this is pretty straightforward case of a racially-motivated attack (although their wallets were stolen and used, the 4x4 was dumped following the car-jacking). Even if what was initially intended was a simple robbery, I would question the sanity of anyone that would consider the kidnapping and subsequent gang-rape of Christopher Newsom by the four (supposedly straight) Black males, in front of his girlfriend, as being anything other than motivated by hate. I would have thought it intuitive.

Sadly, this case initially was consigned to the back burner while the media focussed on the seemingly more provocative case of the false rape of a black stripper by 3 affluent white Duke University lacrosse players. Of course this was dis proven for lack of witnesses, evidence (DNA or otherwise) and numerous contradictions in the so-called plaintiff's account of what happened.

Venerable institutions across America such as the NAACP (Rev. Ezra Maize, the local Knoxville Chapter leader) deny what occurred was a hate crime and the argument has shifted from being one of black-on-crime (and its shocking prevalence) or lenient parole to the issue of white supremacists 'taking advantage' of this crime. Their own community's conduct is so awful that they are pathetically accusing the media of 'racism' for belatedly addressing this crime. Shocking stuff.

The Witchita Massacre

Two Kansas brothers were sentenced to death Friday after being found guilty of murdering four people in December 2000.

Lawyers for Reginald and Jonathan Carr sought a life sentence for the two, but failed in their attempt to spare the Carrs from the death penalty.

In what has been dubbed the "Wichita Massacre," the brothers, who are black, were found guilty Thursday of robbing and murdering four white people almost two years ago. The Carrs are also linked to a fifth murder.

After the sentencing, the two were turned over to the Kansas Department of Corrections. Death sentences in Kansas trigger automatic appeals, which can take years to settle.

Since Kansas reinstated the death penalty in 1994, the state has not executed a single person.

Fox News Channel, which covered the sentencing on live television, reported both Carr brothers showed no emotion when Judge Paul Clark announced the sentencing.

The judge also sentenced both to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 20 years in the death of another woman. Reginald also was sentenced to 47 years in prison for his conviction on other crimes, and Jonathan was sentenced to 41 years on other convictions.

Plenty of Hate, Plenty of Crime, but No 'Hate Crime'

Some residents in the Wichita area say the murders would have been prosecuted as "hate crimes" had the skin color of the gunmen and their victims been reversed.

However, Sedgwick County, Kan., District Attorney Nola Foulston said she would not charge the suspects with committing "hate crimes" because she believed the murders were motivated by robbery and not racial hatred.

The Carr brothers were charged with multiple counts of murder, robbery, rape and other crimes in a rampage that began Dec. 7, 2000 when they kidnapped a 23-year-old man from a Wichita convenience store and robbed him.

Several days later, according to prosecutors, the Carrs shot a female outside her Wichita home. She died several days later from her injuries.

The Carrs then broke into the home of three young men who were hosting two female guests. Later that night, prosecutors said the Carrs drove the five people to a deserted soccer field, forced them to kneel in the snow and shot each of them in the back of the head.

Prosecutors said the brothers then drove a truck over the four dead bodies.

The surviving female, whose name was not released, testified that she ran naked for more than a mile in freezing temperatures to the nearest house to get help. She also testified that a plastic hair clip deflected the bullet and prevented it from entering her skull.

She identified Jonathan and Reginald Carr as the armed intruders who attacked her.

Her four friends who died were identified as Jason Befort, a high school teacher; Brad Heyka, a director of finance with a financial services company; Heather Muller, a preschool teacher; and Aaron Sandler, a former financial analyst who had been studying to become a priest.

Media Hypocrisy

The trial sparked debate within the Wichita citizenry.

"If this had been two white males accused of killing four black individuals, the media would be on a feeding frenzy and every satellite news organization would be in Wichita doing live reports," said Trent Hungate of Wichita in a recent letter to the Wichita Eagle newspaper.

The Wichita Eagle itself, in a recent editorial, wrote "reliving horrible crime is hard for the community.

"The randomness of the attacks was especially chilling. It could have been anyone. But we go on with our work, hold our loved ones a little closer, and face down our fears as best we can. The survivors are showing us how," the editorial concluded.

Even Mayor Bob Knight, who has made improving race relations in Wichita a goal of his administration, said recently that regardless of race and ethnicity what occurred could be described as "raw, brutal and evil." Knight generally opposes capital punishment.

Don't worry Zyklon, you'll find that in the US many many black people, innocent and guilty, are brutalized, victimised and otherwise oppressed by the justice system and the police force. I say this in the hope that you will sleep better.

And, of course, the crime in the OP was vile and horrendous, but I don't see how it justifies racism. I think if we are ever to effectively combat such violent and gruesome crime in society we are going to have to start blaming and hating the criminals, not just "dem blacks".

No (rich) white males. The sisterhood will leave it alone. Nothing gets feminists cranked up like an opportunity to vilify some rich white guys. Case in point, the feminist media's obsession with the farcical Duke University case.

The racial-gender synergy has worked well for the feminist cultural revolution - they are not about to throw that card away. Not that their commitment to the race struggle goes that deep mind you. In the US there are more black men in prison than in college (about 1 million incarcerated). I don't think feminists would be too quick to admit the single-mother family unit has alot to do with this.

There is actually an interesting current in Black American politics/intellectualism regarding how black society has been debased and undermined by a culture of dependency and victimhood. And an acceptance that high levels of crime, imprisonment and welfare dependency are something that blacks themselves have to take responsibility for. As was indeed the basis of real black radicalism in the 1950s and 1960s and which was the common denominator between people like King, black trade unionists and Malcolm X, for all their other differences. It suits middle class liberals and the Democratic Party to have a passive voting fodder constituency which they can mobilise through the likes of charlatans like Obama and Jackson and whose anti culture - rap and all that self pitying nihilistic nonsense - they can patronise and whose communal degradation and disintegration they can exploit.
