I hope I am wrong, but I imagine the CIRA/RIRA response might not be positive tonight, we are in a serious situation in which the UVF seem determined to cause a pogrom!!
Apparently blast bombs thrown in Short Strand?...BBC news reported an armed gang hijacking a bus in Bangor, robbing passengers and burning it across a road.

There's no point in getting your back-up with me. I think the provos should be out armed to the teeth protecting nationalist areas. They, on the other hand, have released a statement saying their fight is over and that they're destroying their weapons. Gerry asking people to stay calm isn't what nationalists need right now.

While the Brits and Loyalists are knocking ************************ out of each other republicans should stand back. The whole point of this is to draw the IRA out, they should only react if it is totally and absolutley necessary to defend the people and their property. I am sure a lot of hard debate is happening in republican circles tonight!!
