    Where's my finger gone?

Another shining example of a certain minority of young Dubliner has been exposed in today's RTE News.

A 17-year-old English pianist had his finger ripped off when he was attacked by a gang of youths on O'Connell Street in Dublin on St Patrick's Day.

Guy Wallace was celebrating St Patrick's Day, apparently walking to a fast food restaurant on O'Connell Street at about 8pm, when a group of youths asked him where he was from.

When he told them he was from England the gang of five set upon him. Mr Wallace was able to get away, but not before his finger was ripped off.

The boy underwent surgery at the Mater Hospital last night. However, the Gardaí were unable to find the finger.

    Good God.

'Feral' was an adjective used to describe the teenagers who killed the Polish men recently.

    It fits here aswell.

How can you rip someone's finger off?

    Lets just examine this:

A teenager walks into a chipper. Crime committed? None.
He is accosted by other youth. Reason? None.
He is attacked. Reason? No good one.
He is savagely assaulted. Reason? No good one.

True. But I am stunned by this savagery, if it is true.

Feral suggests living rough, somehow on the margins of society. I bet the ************************s who did this live in homes with families.

I'm beginning to think that the Brazilian police got it right in the early 90s, when they went around shooting kids at night. These scumbags give absoliutely nothing to society, and make everyone's elses life a misery. They make me ashamed of this country

This would be sad and traumatic for anyone but especially as this young guy was a pianist. Racism and thuggery have no place in our country.

The guy was just on Gerry Ryan talking about it. He doesnt remember exactly how his finger was removed as he was hit in the eyes and couldnt see anything but from talking to the doctors it appears his hand was placed on the footpath and stamped on so severely that his finger was severed. I felt so sorry for the guy. Only 17 years old, plays the piano and also was about to go for a trial for a rugby team. He is looking into getting a bionic finger (his words).
