A Superintendant to investigate every drug death?

In light of yesterdays arrests in relation to the Katy French drugs overdose, I was just wondering whether a Suprintendant leds a team of Gardai to intensively investigate every drugs overdose to track down the dealers. I doubt it. While i support every effort to track down the dealers, it seems that if you are famous you are treated differently (even in death) than your average Joe or Jane who ODs.

Anything that can upset Brendan O'Connor is to be welcomed.

I dont think it is a case that because the victim had a high profile that the investigation is being led by a Superintendant, the norm would be that all investigations would be led by or supervised by the local district officer (Superintendant)

Celebrity circuits and those that live within them are of no greater worth than the various black holes in which drug abuse takes place. . .
