Surely even someone of your limited intelligence can work out why that might be?

However, allowing for your feminine intuition appearing to have a lot more influence on your output than your grey cells have, here's a clue:-

For those other AGs perhaps there were no vacancies or they passed it up. McDowell ran for the Dail and became Justice Minister and eventually Tanaiste. I am sure that some like Suds found private business more lucrative.
The last 6 AG's weren't appointed, the "tradition" was no longer one, nor should it be.

That this AG is arguably one of the worst we've ever had and is being considered for any judicial role is a thundering disgrace imho.

They are makey-uppy Ger qualifications. She qualifies on the statutory criteria. She's healthy, sane, solvent. She is capable of hearing Supreme Court cases, analysing them and coming to a decision.

Are those the only qualifications you require? Past performance doesn't come into it? Go on will ya ...

In your eyes only. A feeble performer as well you know. Is she related to you?

    It's Leo's eyes which matter.
Performers are not a huge cohort of the bench.
    No.

This is another thread along the lines of I don't like x, it has nothing to do with x being female or a political appointee (despite being not affiliated to any of the political parties of government) but for z reasons (which have no bearing on appointment ctrietria). Get over yourselves.

Does she have the necessary courtroom experience to be considered ahead of other candidates from the High Court benches?

She doesn't seem to appear much in the annals of judicial process as far as I can see.
