90% are not "false", first of all. The fact that someone makes an unsuccessful application for asylum does not mean that they are "faking".

Secondly, you have no idea how many of those granted asylum are in receipt of welfare.

Thirdly, why shouldn't a refugee be entitled to the same degree of welfare as anyone else?

Blah Blah Blah....Just more gold for the lawyers.

The 90% are just fed back into the system at extortionate rates one level up. FLA. When all is done, they go AWOL-Larne-UK and away we go again.

Most of the ones in Direct Provisions are from countries on the far side of the world and have no business flying from Africa to here and claiming we're the first safe country they come to. They should not be entitled to the same Social Welfare entitlements as someone who has worked and contributed to the country. It's like the Africans in the housing estate in Dublin bought by a Vulture fund claiming that it would damage their culture if they were evicted. What effing culture, the culture of scamming the Irish, it's disgusting, they won't work, why would they when they can sponge for life?

if mercurial and his fellow refugee snowflakes want to swell this island with non irish, the should be made pay for it. most of these bogus or non bogus asylum seekers are a burden on the state coffers. so lets double the personal taxation of the irish tax payers who want these foreigners, they can pay for them. snowflakes would suddenly whinge like o Gorman with rage............"our ideas but not at my expense or on my patch" practitioners.

Secondly, no one is claiming that unlawful activity has taken place. The issue is whether the regulations that exist are appropriate.

Thirdly, as the article quoted in the OP suggests, the process appears to have been changed in order to make asylum harder to secure.
We do know that heretofore, the asylum process was a complete and utter clusterfup for everyone concerned, including the applicants.

Not that I want to get into a circlejerk argument with you (again) on this argument or that but you have made a few assumptions in the above post yourself most notably that the applications were all above board. So you are kinda guilty of the thing you are complaining about.

    Oh well.

You know nothing of the sort. You have no idea what the process was like previously, and you have no idea what it's like now.
