No there isn't. But if someone arrives illegally, and subsequently gets immigration status under the IBC scheme or whatever, and then starts up a business which contributes massive amounts of money to the exchequer, is that a net gain or a net loss?
    But, but they're bleck!

Nothing on this thread is new, it only make me wonder again: are those railing against Nigerian immigrants aware of how their rhetoric and quite visible anger only makes their cause less appealing to ordinary Irish people? More than ever, there is disquiet about levels of immigration and what this means for Ireland. But insofar as there are people in favour of high levels of immigration (and a blind eye towards fraudulent asylum seeking), they must love it that their most animated opponents sound like single-issue racist nutters.

certainly nothing new from you either but the same tedious tarring
The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.

Buddy of mine goes to works early ( 6 A.M.) , he recently seen about 20 Indian guys jump out of a minibus just after 6 A.M. in North Dublin, each had a suitcase ( A Northern Reg minibus) and scatter like the wind ,

Now I do not have any problem with an Indian guy getting out of the hellhole he came from but this was very close to a Garda station?

Makes you laugh when you hear about immigration control when it is so obvious the gangs work from the U.K. tip up to Larne via Ferry from Stranraer and pop down here as we have no immigration control.

As usual everybody knows it goes on but Bertie is the last to know

If Irish people claimed rental income supplement at the same proportion to the nigerian population here over 9,000 million euros or almost 20% of the entire tax revenue of the State would have been paid out.
Why on Earth are they being given rental income supplement in the first place? If they're economic migrants, they should be financing their own accommodation. If they're asylum seekers, they should be in direct provision hostels.

Britains illegals and failed asylum seekers are allowed to (slip) away before they try looking for them, they then make their way to NI and across the border to the republic and start the asylum scam again.

Hopefully, if they bring in finger-printing, it'll make it a heck of a lot harder for them to try that stunt.

One of those Eureka moments! Not too long ago since you would have been one of those denying that there was any concern about the levels of immigration. Welcome to the real world.

I think there is some validity to your point. However, there are three elements you should consider.

1/ People who post to express concern about Mass Immigration are convinced that their voices are being stifled in the media and the polity generally. Even on this site, concerns about the issue are labelled as racist, bigoted etc. Is it any wonder that voices get strident when they are stifled?

2/ Those who post about Mass Immigration have opinions on a diverse range of topics. But they believe, or at least many of them believe, that Mass Immigration is inflicting such rapid and incalculable changes on our economy, our society, our culture etc. that it must be factored into all discussions.

3/ Have you not considered that there is "quite visible anger" among a large section of the people, and that posters here only reflect that?
