''Are you a pervert or do you just wan t porn to be widely available?''

Erm porn already IS widely available and has been for decades. Does that bother you? Would you rather ban it? And the 'infidelity sites' and that filthy 'Fifty Shades' movie while you're at it?

''Their main spokesperson is an American brasser, who should be jailed and deported''

    On what charges?

''Nuns and priests are not with you on that.''

Of course not. Their preference is child rape and the abuse of women in their 'institutions.'

''Nor do they want Third World filth and their filthy Irish and immigrant punters ruining apartment blocks.''

Much better to obsess and dictate other people's sex lives while covering up child abuse, right peacegoalie?

Guillotine of Sexual Offenses Bill to occur at 9pm. (Even if there is further debate, it will not be heard, and bill will pass) #seanad

Michael McDowell article opposing the bill. Says that for the first time in centuries women selling sex indoors will be criminalised.

    http://michaelmcdowell.ie/minister-f...n-is-shameful/

The bill is even more disturbing than I thought, and appears to possibly criminalise purchase in-kind too. It criminalises anyone who:

"pays, gives, offers or promises to pay or give a person (including a prostitute) money or any other form of remuneration or consideration for the purposes of engaging in sexual activity with a prostitute”."

And here is the possible reason it could be struck down. It conflicts with the Petty Sessions (Ireland) Act 1851 as amended by the Criminal Justice Administration Administration Act, 1914.

So what this means is the govts bill decriminalises the seller - if its done in a public place (but not indoors) - while the 1851 Act criminalises them.

In my opinion the net affect of not specifically including criminalisation of the seller in a public plac (as selling could be termed as aiding or abetting), while keeping the 1851 Act, is that selling sex anywhere will also criminalise the seller. FG is perpetuating a conjob here by claiming this is decriminalising the sex worker. It isnt.

'This approach will not help victims of trafficking': Groups at odds as sex bill passes final stage

The Minister responsible for this dreadful legislation may not last much longer in office before she is replaced but her folly will live on in the Statute Book unless the President sends this Bill to the Supreme Court to test its legality.

Are you a pervert or do you just wan t porn to be widely available? What is your favourite form of porn? Animal sex? Hard sports? Nuns and priests are not with you on that. Nor do they want Third World filth and their filthy Irish and immigrant punters ruining apartment blocks .
Are you one of these liberals who think that freedom is the ability to watch female midgets give blow jobs to stallions as pigs take them from behind? The men of 1916 died so you could jerk off into a tissue?
Your one sick little puppy peacegoalie I suggest you go back to taking your medication like a good little boy!!!

The Sex Workers Alliance of Ireland on the passing on this complete and utter insanity -

    https://www.facebook.com/sexworkersa...71763356229343

I have quoted some of it here -

'Today is a devastating day for sex workers in Ireland. This is a dangerous law.
We are appalled that this Government is going against international expert opinion to bring in a law which jeopardises our safety, removes our bodily autonomy, and puts us at further risk of poverty. The Bill criminalises the purchase of sex, doubles penalties for people working in pairs and groups, and includes measures to take sex workers' fees as Proceeds of Crime. This has been a very thinly veiled moral crusade.
Our biggest concern is the safety of sex workers, particularly the most vulnerable. Frances Fitzgerald’s plan to criminalise the purchase of sex does not magically create options for the migrants, trans people, single parents and others who turn to sex work in order to survive. The Tanaiste’s bill contains absolutely no provisions to create viable alternatives to working in the industry: it is an empty gesture which will cause harm to the most marginalised in society.
The Government’s bill was driven by ideology not evidence'

Surely the only people whose views really count in all this are those of current active sex workers and that is their view!
This law has to be repealed from the minute it's officially enforced!

$ leading human rights groups here have expressed grave concerns about the madness after it has been passed -
    Amnesty International Ireland
    HIV Ireland
    Migrtant Rights Centre Ireland
    Transgender Equality Network Ireland

    14.02.17: Expert groups

Couple this with The WHO stance on the issue and several other UN Bodies, how is this sustainable in a civilzed society - quite simply it is not!

Hopefully Ireland will be viscerated on this when we have our human rights records reviewed as happens on a regular basis!

He is reluctant to refer any law to The Council of State as if they are found constitutional in The Supreme Court, they cannot be challenged here again, leaving Europe as the only hope. Also there are some very conservative gobshytes on it!
AFAIK he lent The great Ruhama organization (found by the same order of nuns who ran The Madylene Concentration Camps and traffickers of new born babies) one of his main advisers!

Can the punter not 'donate' to the lady (or gent) in the same arrangement that a vested interest party can 'donate' to a completely neutral politician ?

Neither politician nor lady should feel obligated to fellate the donor, but if they take decisions that result in such then it could be viewed as entirely coincidental.
