If you paid to watch them, then you could be classed as funding them.

As in Child Porn, where these images are generally sold, in the deep Web, by those who produce them.

Saying that 6,000 images were accidently uploaded to one's computer or smartphone is utter rubbish, frankly.

Nobody whom I know who has admitted to have looked at adult porn online has ever come across this stuff accidentally.

He has the choice of how he wishes to plead.

Are you saying that he plead guilty knowing that he wouldn't go to gaol?

That is just seriously weird. It's also stupid. Watching violence (probably whether real or faked, but certainly when real) mostly has either a traumatizing or a desensitizing effect, so there is a significant risk that it will do the opposite of what you say.

Not what I'm saying. What I mean is it's ok to watch a news report of a shooting, but not ok to watch a video of a shooting that was produced for entertainment. Your reason for watching it is a matter of personal morality.

Why would you need to watch that to understand right from wrong ?

Do you feel the same need to watch child porn to "understand the true horror of it ?"

Exactly, it had less to do with child porn per se, and more to do with the horrific murders/crimes he committed and how long he evaded capture.

hmmm, well, i would argue that the more information you can get on a subject, the better equipped you are to speak about it from a position of knowledge,

even if the information is difficult to watch,
