Woman loses claim after 'dirty dancing' at Copper Face Jacks - Crime & Law News from Ireland & Abroad | The Irish Times - Fri, Jun 28, 2013

she lost and now has to pay fees
    what's your view?

we are all capable of reading news ourselves!

As for the story; I can't believe that girl was even attempting to sue. Silly twat. Usual lack of any sense of personal responsibility.

As for her witness; he claimed he never ever heard of the movie 'Dirty Dancing' - hardly possible and most likely dishonest.

Why a thread about some random civil action?

Was there some new twist in occupier's liability or something?

No NGD it wasnt the twist, it was dirty dancing.

Personally, id like to see more reporting of the losses in PI cases rather than focussing on the lotto awards for winning.

Itd be interesting to see the full papers on this case and if a settlement was offered and why they didnt go for the circuit when she was likely to have a significant contribution to her injury.100k for 7 years. Might be worth getting it taxed

Your reasoning there is amazing. You sound like a man scorned.
