Young wans in this country could do with a bit of toughening up, they would wrecked your head , don't want to walk anywhere do any bit that will dirty their hands , want to sit on there arses playing video games or looking at the chewing gum box. The amount of fat kids in schools now is savage , a good bit of hard work and bit of excercise wouldn't go astray knock a bit of the lard of them.

Not many posters so far actually addressed the topic asked by the OP. Chinese parents can be incredibly strict with their children. There is a cultural aspect to this. Cultural differences aside however, I certainly would not agree with putting the poor child through this if it puts his health at risk even if it is well-intentioned. I do not know if it does do that however. Personally, in any event, I would not do this to a child.
