That's the idea my serfie little friend.

There are plans to replace the 'www' of the internet with 'ccc', which stands for 'control, censor, commerce'.

It is worrying that 'commerce' is the last thing on their mind with regard to future plans for the internet.

I am increasingly disappointed that Ireland seems to continuosly lead the global charge for stampeding on the rights of human beings.

Yes, even if you music is 100% legal. They will justify this later on.
Asked friends at work - don't know what ACTA is, friend is working in government building in dublin (won't say where) - he asked his colleagues - poorness. I checked RTE website........

To quote form the Journal.ie article linked to above:

A government spokesperson said, however, that Ireland did not expect to have to amend its current legislation – believing that the provisions of the deal were already accounted for in Irish law.
That would seem to point to minimal changes to our domestic laws.

Nope that was never illegal it is covered under fair use under copyright law. The general rule of thumb is that it is ok to have a copy for the home office and car.

the real question is what is the difference between a illgeal download and a legal rip . The answer absoultley nothing. So it is a lot of rubbish unless they are going to put apple out of bussiness along with the rest of the mp3 makers im sure they will have something to say against that.

Depends on who you asked. Record companies used to claim that it was just as bad as illegal downloading.

    I'll say more... like always.
The incompetency of ACTA shows that if you stream some music this is also a violate act. Why? Via listening/watching you download a content to your system (e.g youtube). This can be understand by ACTA in both ways : easy - no problem , copyright violation - problem.
I put some of opinions at my blog (can't put links at the moment - maknak3/bolgspot) if some one wants to read it. But don't worry since Annonymus took Government websites as target - you'll hear about it in evening news.

I am old enough to recall when record companies were going to stop people taping music off the radio! The classic band Bow Wow Wow provided their answer:

(hope this does not get DC landed up in the High Court

    Bow Wow Wow - C30, C60, C90 Go (live) - YouTube

Awful band but worth watching as a hormonal teen .... if you get my drift
