You are the one who is sadly mistaken, considering a number of graduates (and non graduates) are working for nothing on the Job Bridge slave scheme, some in government departments. I am sure they would be delighted to be paid a clerical officer's salary as they are already doing the job.

Look at Junius' statement. She said "hundreds of thousands". I'm disputing the "hundreds of thousands". You on the other hand have said "a number". I agree there are "a number". However there are not "hundreds of thousands" as suggested in the post to which I was replying. So I stand over my statement.

That's one of our problems. The concept of starting at the bottom and working their way up is considered beneath their dignity today. Too many young graduates got into the mindset of thinking that once they got their degrees they would just walk into a high paying job.

I agree completely. This idea that there are hundreds of thousands of graduates willing to work in mindlessly boring jobs is hilarious. Granted there may be some who are willing to come in at the bottom rung and gradually work their way up but they are a minority.

There's no good reason for clerical officers to do work like this, it's far more suited to the skills and training of a guard.
SO i guess I'm doing the Gardas job when i use a hand scanner to go into work every morning?

I'll take their job, I could use the money. I'm not having a laugh..I volunteer to do this job, if they won't..
