    Solicitor sues over rateyoursolicitor.com comments

The rateyoursolicitor.com website highlighted wrongdoing by certain solicitors long before those solicitors made off with clients money, leaving massive debts behind them.
If the relevant investigative & regulatory authorities had taken note of the warnings on rateyoursolicitor.com then a whole heap of hurt could have been avoided.
Now the website is under threat from a member of the legal profession.
I reckon this is a test case on behalf of solicitors countrywide, although i've no evidence to prove it.
    I eagerly await the outcome.

Actually, I would be very concerned in case this solicitor managed to shut down "ratemysolicitor".

We have a tendency in Ireland to have Defamation laws that result in people being afraid to speak the truth.

As a result gombeens and cute hoors get away with blue murder. The wider implications of the judgement, could be far-ranging and very prohibitive.
Dublin, Europe's most supportive tourist destination for Peados, thanks to no electronic passport swipe in Dublin Airport. Ireland always facilitates child molestors.

There are no laws against telling the truth in this country. This is the great myth perpetrated by those who want the freedom to destroy reputations, in the Press and elsewhere. Defamation laws only prohibit untruths (commonly called lies).

There can be no justice, when people who make accusations, and maintain a website which rates solicitors, maintain a veil of secrecy over their identity.

It denies the opportunity to test the allegations made before the law

On reading that story the justification for the delay is dubious at best. Why has it taken him 4 years? Like other actions of this nature, if successful they tend to mean the end of the site as an entity.

I do hope the owners of the vile Rate My Solicitor Site lose every cent they own and are left homeless, such that they end their days in the meanest roughest Council Estate in the Land.

May they spend the rest of their days being dragged through the Courts.

May they know the misery they have caused to so many others

The more publicity rateyoursolicitor.com gets the more people will use it when choosing a solicitor. The site performs a valuable consumer function rating many Irish lawyers well and is neutral with no comments good or bad on the majority.
