Who is the minister for justice?

Are private citizens allowed to be at the cabinet table?

Mc Dowell remains the Minister for Justice until a new Government is appointed. Either that, or he goes to Bertie and resigns, and Bertie sticks in someone in the meantime. In fact, Bertie would probably love if he did that, because it'd probably secure some FFer a ministerial pension

He seems to have gone home and stopped taking phone calls.
For this we are paying him a handsome salary.

Oh well, at least he loves Ireland.

Do the ministers keep the seals? Do they have to turn up at the Aras to give them back? Or are they kept at the Aras and only handed over for a press call, to be given back as soon as the photographer is finished?

On the RTE News this evening they showed McDowell's constituency office having its shopfront being denuded of all it's signage, Michael must really want out of public life to pay workmen overtime to do it on a Sunday.
    Average expenses per TD in 2011:- FG €36,412, Lab €28,756, FF €45,219, SF €44,413, SP €23,654, PBP €31,866, WUAG €49,911, IND €37,805, CC €13,112.

Well, part of me is sorry for him losing his seat, I can see how hard that is for anyone.

He brought it on himself though. In fact he can be blamed for most PD losses, except for Mae Sexton who never stood a hope anyway. But the likes of Liz O'Donnell

His clowning and posturing over Ahern's finances was laughable. There were a few other episodes where he made a fool of himself too.
It would be one thing if he was not party leader.
