Fine Gael Justice Spokesman Jim O'Keeffe TD has called on Michael McDowell to make a comprehensive statement on how a notorious convicted criminal rang RTE's Liveline programme from his prison cell.

"It is absurd that a notorious convicted criminal like John Daly can call a live radio programme from inside Portlaoise maximum security prison. This incident is highly embarrassing for Minister McDowell. However, it is a fitting epitaph to his stint as Minister for Justice." How true. It is definitely time for a change of government. Michael has been busy lecturing others whilst he has failed to fulfil the duties assigned to himself.
Michael is hoist by his own petard.

Yeah, I reckon McDowell smnuggled the phone in for Daly myself

The fact that he is already setting up a blocking system for prisons seems to have escaped O'Keefe though!!!
