If guilty, they should spend the rest of their lives in jail. Congrats to whoever caught them.

We need to tighten our immigration from muslim countries more than any other - they are a big threat.

Either way we don't want to be involved.

Perhaps if the Gardai were more proactive concerning the Jewish mossad use of Irish passports Muslims would see you are not involved.

    Now, about that Irish passport.....
Watched a documentary on the Entebbe rescue last night - brought me back to the days when the Israelis were the good guys and we all loved them.

Made me wonder though, if Yoni Netanyahu hadn't been killed there - would the world have been spared Bibi? Just a thought...

    Makes no difference.

We are a european country, not some Islamic sh1thole that sympathises with the murder of cartoonists.

The cartoonist is a big boy, he knew what he was doing - so no sympathy there.

But if you want to take a collective responsibility, then perhaps its Europe's war on Muslims that we should be blaming for visiting such things upon us here.

There is no such fact. The people arrested today in Waterford and Cork are innocent until proven guilty. If you have evidence of their guilt then please post it here. In the meantime, perhaps you'd like to not do anything to prejudice their right to a fair trial? Imagine if they are actually guilty but they didn't get tried because of comments like yours. Remember that a case heard by the Supreme Court last year found that the prohibition of prejudicial comment before a trial protects 'a very basic human and civil right' to have guilt or innocence assessed by a fair trial.

Justice Adrian Hardiman of the Supreme Court made this point.

Newspaper editors and others powerful or influential in the shaping of public opinion “must take care not to pollute the fountain of justice” by expressing, or seeming to express, a view as to the guilt or innocence of accused persons, especially in vivid or lurid terms, he added.

I would add make sure in their repected coutries of origin too. And those countries be billed for the costs incurred.

The common travel area + mass uncontrolled immigration = root cause.

They were allegedly targeting the Swedish artist, Lars Vilks, who lives under police protection in Sweden - possibly due to the alleged death-threats that have been made against him (by Muslims, allegedly). The last time I checked, Ireland and Sweden were both members of the EU and would, presumably, have an obligation to help protect citizens of one another's states. Unlike the non-existent obligation Ireland has to import alleged terrorists from Morocco and Yemen.

I live in Waterford and my daughters have to witness the countless niqab-wearing women who wear their uniforms of degradation around our estate. If a gang of Irish women stood around the playground wearing balaclavas, the police would be around in record time. It is worth noting that 3 of the 7 alleged plotters are women. I sincerely hope that there is a backlash after this discovery by the gards and that fewer fundamentalist muslims, particularly from countries which do not meet the criteria, are granted refugee status.
