Interista, you mean that the Mossad agents were living here in Ireland, with asylum status, getting money from the state while planning to kill this Hamas dude because of a picture he once drew????
Uhhh no, I was talking about an 'intended target' being 'murdered in another country and the trail led back to Ireland.'

Except the usual suspects on P.ie appear to have no problem when Islamic terrorists kill innocent people - but howl with outrage when a murderous thug is killed before he can kill others.

The only difficulty I have with the Mossad action is that they used Irish passports and put Irish citizens at risk. If the Israelis want to kill their enemies they are at war with fair enough, just don't drag us into their fight.

And do not even attempt to equate a plot to kill a cartoonist over a cartoon with a murderer on a mission to buy arms for his equally murderous terrorist buddies.

Who are these people? Do you know that have even sought asylum. If they are immigrants how do you know that they were or were not persecuted? How do you know that they lied?
On what basis do you use the term obviously? What kind of soft touch are we? We live in a country which persecutes the poor for an economic crisis that they had no part in, supported an established church whose employees abused generations of children, that denies resources to the health service, allows financiers and developers to walk away with tax-free money and makes the rest of us pay for it while they are allowed to swan off abroad and enjoy their ill-gotten, fraudulent gains. I'll make an assumption or two. You are a racist pig who hasn't read anything more challenging than the Sun newspaper in your life.

My understanding is that the the concept of Ireland being a soft touch for immigration is our very own urban myth. Once again people rush to tar a whole community with the alleged crimes of a few. Reminds me of a time when all paddies were under suspicion in the UK in the eyes of some because of an IRA bombing. Nothing new under the sun.

So, our homely little back water may have lost its virginity. Interesting.

Talk though of immigration being linked to this issue is premature. We should await confirmation of who is involved in this alledged plot. What odds would Paddy Power give on a couple of native converts being involved? My money is on one or two at least.

If there is anything to this plot, then congratulations to the Garda for nipping it in the bud.

Thank you your lordship for your analysis, I'm sure that you sent him crawling back to the council house he came from.

Any Israeli going about there business when a rocket from Gaza or Lebanon blasts them into oblivion. Or the people of Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan sent to meet Allah by suicide bombers. And the victims of the 911, Madrid and Bali bombings.

There are certain posters on here - and no, I am not going to name them - who are cheerleaders for Islamofascists and their evil deeds.

Can anyone explain the revelance of this little rant to this thread?

Those in custody are originally from Morocco and Yemen, but it is understood they all have refugee status and are legally in the country. Source RTE.
Economy, abused children, developers, what? Stick to the story knob!
