BBC- A Short History of Ireland

Have been listening to the series for a while. Its fairly interesting.
Its interesting to get a slightly different viewpoint of 1916 and other major influences in Irish History.

How's this for the short history.

We were invaded, we fought, we lost, we starved, we fought, we won.

You forgot the most recent episode: we elected fools who threw it all away.

hey, apart from the clowning, its a brilliant effort the series, goes on 3/4 more months 15mins a day
taken from actual documents for the relevant period, with readings and direct quotes.

Is the BBCiPlayer available in the ROI?
Can't get rte player in the UK, wondering if the snub is mutual.

You can get the radio iplayer, except for premiership soccer. The TV one does not work.
