"If as reported here, the "Sr. Callida" in the Ryan Report is in fact Nora Wall, it is more than likely that she will be the one to facing further criminal charges."

Even if she does face further criminal charges, that will not alter the fact that perjury was committed against her. Do you anti-Catholics apologise for creating an anti-Catholic atmosphere which enabled the prejury to be committed and believed and to have gone unpunished for so long? Your use of the "Red Herring" tactic does not side-track me.

"Her superior in the order who gave damming evidence against "Sr Callida" to the Commission should be ashamed"

Who gave you the right to dictate how anyone should feel? Why do you Staters preach so much?

Why then do you interfere in the internal affairs of the Catholic church?

"Anyway I decided to tune in last Sunday to ascertain the local sky-pilot's view on the Ryan revelations. "

Is "sky-pilot" an insulting name of the local Catholic priest? If so, mind your manners, Prod.

"Essentially he had three points - and the last one is incredible (all are despicable). His tone grew more confident as he enlarged his discourse , probably having established that the sheep were no more attentive than on any normal Sunday. And his fears about being lynched were unfounded."

Is it any of your business how the congregation were re-acting? After all, they were practising Catholics and you are not. Was there any reason why he should have been lynched - other than for boring his congregation?

"the Joe Brolly school of ethics)"

How dare you? Joe Brolly is an Ulster Catholic. What right have you, or any other Stater, to pass judgement on an Ulster Catholic? You stood idly by in August 1969.

"All I heard in response from our good decent little catholics in the audience was a crying baby and the odd hangover cough."

What business is that of yours?

"I am so phokking proud to be Irish !!"

I thought that most Staters were ashamed to be Irish.
    Glennshane you're a total plank.

I'm a real Irishman i.e. born in Ireland - not a bigoted taig scumbag like you.

Ulster catholics are particularly boring and retarded - slow learners who cherish your stupid "faith" because you need a perceived moral excuse for hating your beloved "prods" with whom you have far more in common than with enlightened Irish down south , who utterly despise *************************s like you.

Of course I meant "sky-pilot" pejoratively. How else can the term be used , you imbecile.
I use the word "imbecile" in an insulting tone also.

If I want to talk about Joe Brolly I will , you fascist moron. I live in a democratic society where free speech is a reality. Not like dreary "norn ireland" where the "whatever you say , say nothing" cowed code of practice is de-rigeur.

Glennshane it's fools like you that has this island in the sad state it is. You're an utter disgrace to humanity . And a looney.

    "Glennshane you're a total plank."

So we have another Stater who resorts to personal abuse. Please play the man, not the ball. Be civilised like us Ulsterfolk.

"- not a bigoted taig scumbag like you."

In Northern Ireland the use of that phrase would constitute a criminal offense.
Your use of that phrase says a lot about you.

"Ulster catholics are particularly boring and retarded - slow learners who cherish your stupid "faith" because you need a perceived moral excuse for hating your beloved "prods" with whom you have far more in common than with enlightened Irish down south , who utterly despise *************************s like you."

Well said, sir. I love having my prejudices against Eirefolk confirmed on a public forum. Scrach the skin of an Eire "Liberal" and, underneath, one will find a supporter of Prod tyranny.

"Of course I meant "sky-pilot" pejoratively. How else can the term be used , you imbecile. I use the word "imbecile" in an insulting tone also."

When a man has to resort to insult, his argument cannot be very strong.

"If I want to talk about Joe Brolly I will , you fascist moron."

    More insults.

"I live in a democratic society where free speech is a reality."

Yes, you Staters are good at talking.

"Not like dreary "norn ireland" where the "whatever you say , say nothing" cowed code of practice is de-rigeur."

What wonderful people you are, compared with us. If you were in Ballymena, would you let anyone hear your Eire accent?

"Glennshane it's fools like you that has this island in the sad state it is."

I do not resort to personal insult and name-calling which is a lot more than can be said for you. Perhaps, your ill-mannered outbursts are the result of a guilty conscience.

"You're an utter disgrace to humanity . And a looney."

More insults. But thank you for being so honest and revealing your attitude to Ulster Catholics. If only all Eirefolk were so honest.

Of course, I am your inferior. I am only an Ulster Catholic and you have so accuratedly articulated the attitude of the Eire chattering classes towards us. It manifested itself so well in your Presidential election of 1997. You Eire "Liberals" see us as a race of ignorant, superstitious peasants who refuse to lie down and let ourselves be walked over, thereby damaging your tourist trade, embarassing your missionaries in Africa, hampering your Industrial Development ambitions and giving bad ideas to alienated young men in Eire.

You are claiming to be speaking on behalf of 'enlightened Irish down south' after this torrent of abuse? Abuse which includes the use of the word 'Taig', a word associated with sectarian bigots and murders.

You should be ashamed of yourself, you are not any kind of voice for the 26 counties, in fact reading some of what you wrote here without knowing anything else i would assume you were from the UDA.

Honestly GS , despite earlier posts , I have a total lack of interest in Ulster RCs. It is not an issue that has ever engaged me. I cannot remember the subject ever arising in any discussion I've had with another human in the last twenty years. My original post last night concerned institutional child abuse in the republic. You detoured me into an exchange on my right to comment on ulster RCs. One thing I'll give you , though , it appears that children in Ulster institutions have been far safer over the last 70 years than their counterparts down here. And that's a big distinction.

Your tone of happy martyrdom does you little credit though - and is similar to that being adopted by church-apologists down here. Why do catholics appear to be so eager to embrace victimhood. Particularly when they are the perpetrators and not the victims ? I think I've answered my own question here ?

There many of his type still around ... head still firmly stuck in the ground. Minimise and excuse ... they haven't learned from history that all tyrannies end and his church's end is near. I was on a Jesuit's blog and in reply to one or two of my points he wrote:

Honest! Is he implying that the abuses were a Protestant thing (!?!) - are the Sisters of Mercy and the Christian Brothers et al Protestant?

    The Mind Boggles.
Yes the football match analogy was very stupid - except that it was guaranteed to arrest attention , and possibly support , in a GAA-mad country parish - I suppose? How can any sane man understand the thought processes of these weirdos ?

The Jesuit's "point"! is immenently Jesuitical. Also very reminiscent of Michael Wood's bumblings last week (I suspect MW is "not a well man"). Mind you the protestants do have a bit of "previous" here. Have you come across the venerable Samuel Cotton a C of I clergyman who ran a notorious orphanage in Goatstown in the 1880s. He and his wife were eventually imprisoned. Mind you , the Brits always took crime so seriously !! There's a great section on the "Contemptible Clergyman" in "Murder in the Midlands" by Dr Jack Carter.

I'm a UDA man?? Exactly what part of my post indicated I was keen to keep Ulster within the union ? What the phokk has that to do with any point I made ? Sawdust head - no offence to sawdust !

I couldn't care less if prods and taigs exterminated each other off the face of the island. That whole "sityeation" garbage is beyond boring. BORING !!!
