Sir Roger Casement betrayed by Austin Stack

Although Austin Stack and his fellow travellers were given every opportunity (D.I. Kearney used every means possible to inform Stack and his friends) to extricate Casement from the barracks in Tralee, they did not make any attempt to do so.

Come on! Give us sources, links, historians' viewpoints...
A P.ie moderator stated this on June 25th 2010: P.ie tolerates very broad free speech, and thus allows sectarian bigotry etc

Right so, he didn't actually BETRAY Rog, he just didn't attempt to rescue him. Would you care to consult a decent dictionary for the definition of words rather than writing this absurdist claptrap on this site? I know every anorak wearing, dandruff covered social inadequate believes its his right to state his non factual paranoid conspiracy theories on p.ie but would you ever try and get out more? Ever heard of sources, facts, arguments?

Must hunt down a copy, see what it's all about. Sadly, tales of betrayal are all too common but personally i have no ideas about this one.

Interesting subject area. Extract here: Trafford Publishing: District Inspector John A. Kearney-The RIC Man Who Befriended Sir Roger Casement

I'm afraid that at first glace it is rather poorly written.
"The thing that always annoyed me about traditional Irish historiography was the paradox of its Anglocentrism. People are now prepared, I think, to confront the possibility that many Irish problems are, in a sense, indigenous to the Irish situation." Roy Foster (1989).

    You left out west Brit

What the west Brit corpse kicker is trying to infer is that Austin Stack deiberately betrayed sir roger casement as opposed to simply not acting on information the Kerry policeman deliberately let slip to a doctor in the knowlege it would find its way back to the Volunteers .

Thats what west Brit corpse kickers generally do when going anywhere near the subject of the 1916 rebellion , enthusiastically kick rebel corpses .

Was it perhaps that Austin Stack, like all true republicans, would have nothing to do with poofters?
