Was it perhaps that Austin Stack, like all true republicans, would have nothing to do with poofters?

Austin Stack was by all accounts an extremist with blinkered views. Casement on the other hand, knew as did MacNeill that the Rising 1916 was doomed. The support from Germany was too little too late. Had he lived would probably have been the best possible reresentative at Versailles, for Ireland, in 1919. My view.
