If he didn't then it's not the same thing. Do you really think the holocaust is just about numbers of dead? When it came to Jews 75% of Europe's Jews were killed by the Nazis. The plan was to exterminate them all. Jews 'harp on' about the holocaust in the hope that it will never happen again, because when it comes to the holocaust we face head on how easily influenced the human spirit is and how the majority of people can be made to behave in such a dreadful way to act in their own self-interest. Wars you can excuse and rationalise etc. But the holocaust was something different altogether
So, method of killing millions matter as to whether it is called holocaust or just killing.
It's the efficiency of the process that counts? Efficient = holocaust, inefficient but effective = just killing many.

Oh that's easy to do. Your opinion is that the Jewsih experience at the hands of the nazis was not unique. It was. They were the only group that were singled out for total systematic annihilation by the Nazis. And when you are coming from that viewpoint there's not much point in arguing/debating with you. I know I've no chance of changing your opinion and I don't believe there's anything I want to learn from your opinion, so i'm out of this thread. As i said, go knock yourself out

But you're WRONG. The Nazis did exactly the same to the Roma. Your refusal to accept that amounts to holocaust denial.

No JC I think you are wrong. The main problem at the time in Nazi Germany was mainly who was a gypsy. I tried to find out as much as I can but there's not a huge amount that is very specific. The work shy and itinerants and those who behaved in gypsy like fashion were considered gypsies, but their families wouldn't have been considered as gypsies. Their families were not held accountable. If they were sent to the camps it didn't mean that their families were. That didn't apply to Jews.

For some time in Nazi Germany gypsies who had an Aryan spouse or had been working for five years were exempt from being sent to the ghettos. This wasn't the case for Jews. From what i can gather it was only at the end 1943 that Himler ordered that gypsies and part gypsies were to be put on the same level as Jews. Up until then I think that gypsies who were married to Aryans were sterilised instead of being sent to ghettos and camps. This wasn't the case for Jews. Though having said that I don't know what happened to these people later. Were they all sent to the camps? I don't know. Were they able to escape the camps because it was so late in the Reich's rule that they were put on the same level as Jews? I also don't know what happened to the children of these marriages who were born before their gypsy parent was sterilised. Were they considered gypsies? I don't know. If a child had some gypsy grandparents were they considered gypsies? How far back in their ancestry did they go to decide if you were a gypsy or not? They were very specific when it came to Jews. Jews were condemned for total annihilation. Gypsies were sentenced to selective mass murder.

From what I can gather and from what I remember there was a problem at the time deciding who was a gypsy and who wasn't. It wasn't like that with Jews. There were very specific rules from 1935 that decided who was a Jew. It was at the end 1943 before Himler ordered that gypsies and part gypsies were to be put on the same level as Jews and by that time the Reich was coming to the end of its power. Up to then gypsies were not Jews so there was no need to murder them all. And up to then the gypsies who were considered to be of pure blood were not considered dangerous on a racial level, and they could continue to exist.

What I found offensive about your comments were that you claimed that I like to make out that only Jews suffered at the hands of the Nazis. You also said I don't believe palestinian life is equal to anyone else's. Those are disgusting things to say, and then you followed those up by saying I was a holocaust denier. You really are a vile person. And even if this type of 'baiting' is just sport to you that doesn't make what you do any less disgusting. Anyway i do need to ignore this thread from now on. you have your own reasons for trying to diminish the Jewish role in the holocaust. I don't think your mind would be open enough to change that view so I'd be wasting my time continuing to debate it with you

It took him that long to get briefed on the Roma in WW2 from his Mossad minder.
He's still utterly wrong, of course. And he's still a holocaust denier. That makes at least two, possibly three holocausts he is in denial over, I believe.
