    Time Team Fort of the Earls

    Just about to start on Channel 4.

    Time Team dig in Dungannon. Digging around the O'Neil stronghold.

    3 trenches being worked on
    1. Near the moat
    2. At a settlement
    3. At the castle ( debate going on as whether they are digging in correct place.)

    They've found a few 16th / 17thc bits. German pottery which fits with history.

    I suspected that the people to brought the guns had such things with for the trip back to Ireland?

    An excellent programme, as usual. Channel 4 achieved something few thought possible: produce a programme that makes archaeology interesting on television. I have been a fan of Time Team for years.

    I wonder can we get them to come to Tara before the rape of the Tara-Skyrne valley is raped irrevocably by the NRA and the government?

    Next week they go to Dublin castle to unearth the dodgy dealings of a mythical Irish leader, King Bert.
