Here is a very good recent article by Prof. Michael Hudson outlining how his policies and those of the classical economists could have a benign influence on the neoliberal capitalist society that we have today.

The ultimate fatal flaw of Marxism - it's dependant upon capitalism to pay for it's aims.

I hate the term "Cultural Marxism" because it is so crazy- degenerate music and sexual degeneracy was banned in the Soviet Union and the People's Democracies for most of their history, While Marx can sometimes be poisonous if swallowed whole and raw, ultimately also you cannot understand the contemporary world without taking on board his insights.

In fairness, I doubt he knew what would happen if his ideas were put into practice. He really was just a jobless scribbler without much of an idea of how the world really works.

His legacy is to have influenced the worst tyrannies of the twentieth century , which caused so much needless suffering. If he hadn't been born the world would have been a better place.
