Very true, but I think the book does a much better job of getting across the paranoia and insanity of a Nazi state. Conveys the atmosphere far better.

I read the title and was all set to inform you all of a wonderful book which deals with just such an occourance.
I've also plugged them here before but there is a series of "what if?" books. they deal with some important moments of history and historical/political commentators speculate alternate outcomes. Interesting stuff.

In the game, Combat Flight Simulator 3 you can play as the germans, and it is possible to win the second world war. There are mods to change the german medals and flags to be accurate, instead of polilticaly correct.
I want to see a movie based on the books about the South winning the American Civil war.
The book "Guns Of The South" is a good book on that. Probably available on Amazon.com. Though "Killer Angels" is one of the best books on the US Civil War that I've read. There is a good movie "Gods And Generals" on TV on Saturday I think. It is a long movie but it is based on the second book of the trilogy that the book "Killer Angels" is from. Though it is a long enough movie to fry the minds of simpleton TV critics.
