Without American money and supplies their is absolutely no doubt but that the German army would have eventually prevailed over Russian Bolshevism.

Battle of Moscow was the turning point of the war. Once 'the whole rotten structure' didn't fall down at the first kick, the tide had turned. After the defencive battles of late '41 early '42 the cream of the German army had been brutalised. Once it became a battle of production and will to bleed, there could only be one winner in great ideological war of 41-45.

By promoting Paulus to the rank of Field Marshall, Hitler assumed that the 6th Army would fight to the last man (no German Fieldmarshall had ever surrendered up to that point) at Stalingrad.

As it was the 6th Army perished in the cold of Stalingrad and in captivity of the gulags.

    Two turning points:

1)When Germany invaded Russia they could never win.

2)When the U.S.A joined against the Germans (+ others) then the Germans were destined to lose.

Edit: And a big thank you to the U.K for bridging the gap.

"The Battle of Stalingrad was the real turning-point of the war. Even Winston Churchill - no great admirer of the Russians - later admitted that it was 'Russian valour and generalship' which 'tore out the guts' of the Nazi war machine."

There was only one turning point in WW2, and that was, without question, the Battle of Brittain.

Not having conquered Brittain [West], and having invaded its erstwhile, if unlikely, ally Russia [East], Nazism was irretrievably exposed on two fronts.....from whence the downfall.............

All of the rest is detail.

I'm forever obliged to those who fought and died, and so stopped being, for the likes of me............ Too few get it, ever........

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On another completely related note, WE are now obliged to fight again for survival.

We are supposed to think it's about money this time. But, no, it's about domination, as usual.

Please let them know that we have, finally, learned the lessons of history, in whatever way you can and this time say: Never Again.
