Disbelief as Cowen claims Harney is good Health chief

Disbelief as Cowen claims Harney is good Health chief - National News, Frontpage - Herald.ie

I know this is from the hearld............but......

Mary Harney is implementing the reforms that are necessary in health.

"In fairness, she's a very capable Minister as you know, a person who is prepared to make the decisions and she's worked as a very experienced member of the Cabinet, a good member of the Cabinet," he said.

Oh sweet god, how can he not see what everyone else does

If there was confirmation needed that these fools are totally disengaged with reality, then, this is it.

Highlight any part of the Health Service that is worse today than in 2004.

Maybe you are right - maybe no aspect of the Health Service is worth than it was 15 years ago in 2004.

However: Considering the amount of money that has been invested in the Health Service over those 15 years and given that the minister has consistenly fought her corner by detailing the year on year increases in health care spending....

...shouldn't things be a lot better than they were in 2004.

"Primum non nocere" may be suitable primary goal for doctors, a Health Minister should aspire to something greater.

Eh, 2004 was 5 years ago, when Harney took over and the HSE was created.

Agreed, but I'd argue that she's got more for that money than any of her predecessors.
