Three Drumm advisers received €1.8 million
"The list shows that in the first six months of last year alone, the HSE paid out €1.35 million including VAT to the PA consulting group in respect of five projects including the acute bed capacity review. It paid €945,000 for work done by the same firm in 2007."
"The HSE paid out €329,000 to a management consulting firm Accenture, for four different projects, including work on the HSE's "transformation programme" in the first six months of 2008. The same company received €1.75 million from the HSE in 2007 and €1.47 million in 2006 for various projects"
"KPMG received €479,000 during the first half of 2008 for four different projects, including the review of maternity services in Dublin."
Really depressing to think that with all the managers et al in the HSE and the DOHC we atill spend so much on "consultants" etc....
"In addition, the HSE said it spent €170,000 last year on producing and distributing its staff magazine, "Health Matters.""
Must be a good read!!!
Trouble is I've never seen it,not distributed to the staff in the hospitals....must be for the nobs in headquarters only!
